How is the Louisiana vehicle registration fee calculated?

Where:

• Title Fee ($68.50), Handling Fee ($8.00), and Plate Fee ($3.00) only apply on new titles or plate transfers. Renewals skip these.

First, the registration fee: $25,000 times 0.1% equals $25 per year. Multiply by two years, and you get $50.

Next, add the flat fees. Title costs $68.50. Handling costs $8.00. Plate costs $3.00. That is $79.50 in flat fees.
